Transport Canada Departmental Audit and Evaluation
International Trade
Our client needed assess the degree to which trade liberalization, public safety/security, harmonization and interoperability operated in the area of non-tariff barriers may have enhanced Canadian air carrier activity in those markets and the degree to which they may have contributed to negative economic impacts on the Canadian markets.
THSG was engaged to develop from senior industry research an analysis, an assessment of the utility of trade liberalization balanced with transportation safety and security concerns. Study results were used to inform decision making at senior levels within the client organization to select and develop additional trade liberalization opportunities considering all of the domestic players (airports, air carriers, freight forwarders and couriers).
