Air Cargo Security Measures Design

Our client needed to respond to international, transborder and domestic pressures to ensure that Canadian air cargo security standards were consistent with industry requirements and effective to prevent, mitigate and respond to the potential for interference with the Canadian civil aviation system.

THSG was engaged to develop the regulatory design for the Air Cargo Security system including the policies, guidelines, regulations and security measures necessary to support the Canadian international, transborder and domestic requirements.

THSG provided the implementation assistance necessary to take the policy from concept of operations to a full regulatory regime within extraordinarily tight timeframes, limited financial requirements and significantly high profile challenges in the aviation security environment.

The regime touches air carriers, airports, freight forwarders and shippers. It interfaces with ICAO, IATA, the TSA, the EU and other international players as well as providing an effective foundation for effective Canadian Aviation Security.
